Job Title:  I&E Technician

Location:  Kermit, TX

Schedule: 5/2

Pay:  DOE

Job Duties:

  • Assists with monitoring instrumentation, electrical facilities and related control systems
  • Assist with forecasting electrical, automation and instrumentation needs for expansion projects
  • Calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic and pneumatic instruments
  • Installs and overhaul of electrical system components and technical equipment
  • Routes and sets up electric power generation, distribution and control systems
  • Tracks projects and repairs conducted for assigned locations and facilities
  • Orders/receives/stocks and dispenses spares and materials
  • Maintains a preventive maintenance system with complete records
  • Monitors, maintains, and understands operating, fire protection systems
  • Troubleshoots telephone and communications equipment
  • Assists with maintenance and operation of sites
  • Use a variety of automation software including Cygnet, Delta V, Allen Bradley, RS Logic 5000
  • Performs maintenance duties required to maintain operations and regulatory compliance
  • Provides electrical and automation services and expertise to field operations and corporate oil & gas entities
  • Ensures compliance to regulations and internal and external safety standards
  • Acts as a liaison between field personnel and functional support groups providing operational input to projects
  • Maintains effective communication with area personnel to ensure all team project objectives can be met

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years land based Oil & Gas Instrumentation and Electrical experience
  • Texas Journeyman License preferred
  • Cygnet, Delta V, Allen Bradley, RS Logic 5000 software experience preferred
  • Must live within a 50 mile radius of Kermit, TX
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with instrumentation and electrical technology currently being used in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
