Job Title: Competency Assurance Specialist
Location: Gray, LA

A successful candidate will possess a STRONG background in OFFSHORE Instrumentation & Electrical aptitude, with strong mentorship, teaching abilities and exhibit characteristics that support the following:

Additional background in Mechanical and Production Operations is a plus.

• Develop Knowledge and Skill assessments for Field Personnel

• Develop Training Courses, CBTs (technical and knowledge based)
• Provide hands on training for specific tasks
• Conduct Technical interviews for skilled craft positions
• Provide guidance to other Danos personnel and customers regarding Federal regulations
• Develop Danos safety policies and Safe Work Practices

• Conduct assessment of employees to ensure Competency on platform specific equipment
• Mentor and provide feedback to Field Personnel
• Ensure Operators are properly training in hazard Identification and safe work practices
• Ensure company Safety policies are known and followed
• Work with the customer to continually improve the assessment process
• Good analytical and communication skills

• 10+ years of field experience in an Offshore Oil and Gas Production environment
• Strong operating knowledge of commonly used software applications
• Windows Operating System
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point
• Microsoft Teams, Skype, WebEx
• Prior Experience in a Leadership role  
• Ability to travel by helicopter or boat for offshore visits

Preferred

• Prior experience with technology, such as, but not limited to, VR and AR
• Development of software strongly preferred
• Prior experience in technical writing preferred
